Does OfficeLint use my files to train AI?
No. Your files are used only for the checks, fixes and exports you start, never to train any model.
For anyone deciding whether to upload a file, or asking IT and compliance to approve a tool. In plain language, every step a file goes through, from upload to deletion.
On your first upload, a card explains where files are stored, for how long and who can see them. Before a check starts, you see how many credits it will use.
The file is read to produce the report. Encrypted or protected files must be unprotected in the original Office application first; OfficeLint never asks for or stores your password.
All changes are made on a copy. Each one can be undone and is logged in the change history. Anything uncertain is only suggested; you decide.
Before export, file integrity is checked to make sure the revised file opens. You can attach a change report and write unfixed issues as comments.
The file page always shows “Deleted in N days” and a “Delete now” button, and the file list reminds you the day before. Files are kept 15 days so you can recheck and re-export within one delivery cycle without paying again.
OfficeLint uses rules to find phone numbers, email addresses, ID numbers and bank card numbers. Preview and edit each replacement before applying it. Afterwards, OfficeLint checks again for remaining information matched by the selected rules. This is free. Coverage is limited to supported formats; client names, amounts and addresses are outside the default rules, so review the file before sharing.
OfficeLint brings together the file-handling details your team needs to review.

They are deleted automatically after 15 days. You can click “Delete now” on the file page at any time, or change your settings to delete files right after export. The file list reminds you the day before a file expires.
Only you can. When you share a check result, the other person sees only the health score and an issue summary, not the file’s content.
Remove the protection in PowerPoint first, then upload. OfficeLint never asks for or stores your file password.
No. All changes are made on a copy, and the revised copy is exported as a new file. Every change can be undone individually, and anything uncertain is only suggested, never changed automatically.
The report preview on the home page shows how issues are grouped and which can be fixed in one click.
