Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect personal information that you provide or that is generated when you use the OfficeLint website, application and related services (together, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us. Depending on how you use the Service, this may include:
- contact data, such as your name and email address;
- account data, such as the account you use to sign in and your settings;
- transactional data, such as the plans you buy, your subscription type and your transaction history;
- communications data, such as what you tell us when you contact support or otherwise correspond with us;
- user content, such as the files you upload to the Service and the reports, change history and exports the Service produces from them.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the Service, we may automatically collect device and browser information, IP address, access times, the features you use and other log and usage information, and we use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and, where applicable, record referral sources and understand how the Service is used. We ask for consent where required by law.
Information from third parties. If you sign in with a third-party account (such as a Google or Microsoft account), we receive the basic information that the third party provides with your authorization, such as your name and email address.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, maintain and improve the Service, including processing the checks, edits and exports you start;
- process payments, subscriptions and credits, and provide customer support;
- communicate with you, for example to send service notices and account and transaction information;
- protect the security of the Service and its users, and prevent fraud, abuse and other unlawful activity;
- comply with applicable laws and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use the files you upload to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. How we share information
We share your personal information only:
- with service providers: third parties that provide hosting, cloud storage, authentication, email, error monitoring, customer support and similar services on our behalf;
- with third-party AI providers: third parties that provide artificial intelligence processing for certain features of the Service;
- with payment processors: third parties that process payments, which collect and process your card details directly;
- with professional advisors: such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary;
- where required by law: to comply with laws, legal process or government requests, or to protect the rights and safety of us, our users or the public;
- in business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, asset transfer or similar transaction;
- with your consent: in other cases where you agree or direct us to.
We require service providers processing personal information on our behalf to use appropriate safeguards and follow our instructions. Third parties acting independently, such as payment processors, also handle information under their own privacy policies.
4. Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy. Files you upload, and the content produced from them, are deleted automatically after 15 days, and you can delete them at any time. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except for information we need to keep to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to receive a copy of it, or to withdraw consent you have given. You can manage the information and options available in your account settings, or contact us at support@officelint.com to exercise these rights. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Service may then not work.
6. Other sites and services
The Service may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical, administrative and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of storage is completely secure.
8. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process and store your personal information outside the country or region where you live, including in the United States. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use the safeguards that applicable law requires.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have collected a minor’s personal information, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with its last updated date. If we make material changes, we will tell you by email or by a notice in the Service.
