How credits are used

OfficeLint charges for checks before they start and for automatic fixes when you export. Manual edits and rule-based redaction are free. You see the credit cost before each charge.

  • Check

    1 credit per slide

Taken when the check starts. If the file can’t be read or no report is produced, the credits come back automatically.

  • Automatic fixes

    0.5 credit per slide

Taken when you export the revised deck, only for slides with automatic fixes; manual edits are free. The total fix credits are rounded up to a whole credit. Undone fixes are free, and each slide is charged at most once in 15 days.

  • Editing and sharing tools

    Free

Redaction, manual edits, rechecks, previews, undo and re-exports are free. Files are kept for 15 days, so you can recheck and export as often as you need.

What does an 80-slide deck cost, across two versions?

Checking and fixing an 80-slide deck, then checking a second version, uses 104 credits in total — about $4.2 on the Standard pack. If the previous version is still within its 15-day retention period, the second version is charged only for new and changed slides; the 68 untouched slides aren’t charged again.

104 credits in total

About $4.2 on the Standard pack, or $1.4 on the monthly plan.

  • First version: check 80 slides 80 credits
  • Export the revised deck: 18 slides fixed × 0.5 9 credits
  • Second version: 3 new slides, 12 changed 15 credits
  • Total 104 credits

Pricing FAQ

Is there a free plan or free trial?

No free plan. New users get 10 credits on sign-up, valid for 30 days — enough to check a short deck, or the 10 slides that matter most in a long one. Rule-based redaction is always free, and the home page includes an illustrative report preview.

Do credits expire? Which ones are used first?

Yes. Sign-up credits last 30 days, the Starter pack 90 days, the Standard and Large packs 12 months, and add-on packs 3 months. OfficeLint always uses the credits that expire soonest first and reminds you 7 days before any expire. The top bar and your account page show how many credits you have left and when each batch expires.

What happens if I run out of credits?

OfficeLint tells you before the check starts. You can top up first, or choose which slides to check. It never quietly checks only part of a deck.

Am I charged if the file can’t be read?

No. Credits for a check are taken before it starts, and refunded automatically if the file can’t be read or the report isn’t produced.

Why are fixes charged at export?

OfficeLint charges for fixes the first time you export a file that contains them, so fixes you undo or never export cost nothing. Only slides with automatic fixes count, at 0.5 credit per slide. Manual edits are free. The total fix credits are rounded up to a whole credit. Each slide is charged at most once in 15 days, so exporting again is free.

If I edit the deck and upload it again, do I pay for every slide again?

No. When you upload a new version, OfficeLint compares it with the previous one slide by slide and charges only for new or changed slides; inserting or reordering slides doesn’t make the rest count again. Cross-slide number checks still cover the whole deck. The previous version must still be within its 15-day retention period; otherwise every slide is charged.

What happens to unused subscription credits?

On the monthly plan, credits you don’t use in a month carry over for 1 more month. Cancelling a subscription doesn’t affect credit packs you’ve bought; they stay valid until they expire.
